How Invisalign Works

Your initial appointment at our office will entail a comprehensive orthodontic examination. We will evaluate your smile, bite and facial structure to determine if Invisalign is a viable treatment option for you or your family member. Orthodontic records will be taken in order to create a treatment plan that will generate the optimum results.

Keep in mind that orthodontics is much more than just straightening teeth. Facial structure is also affected by the position of your teeth. Your teeth act as the support structure for lips and other soft tissue features. The positions of the upper and lower jaws, both vertically and horizontally, are directly related to tooth position. We will discuss the options for care and provide you with a detailed recommendation based upon our findings.

Part of the technology at the Centre is the new Cadent iTero scanner, which does away with having to take impressions of your teeth. This scanner allows us to create a computerized 3-D image of your teeth so that we can plan your tooth movements throughout your entire treatment timeline. The iTero scanner also allows for a much quicker turnaround time so that your treatment can begin sooner. You’ll be able to see a virtual representation of your teeth before. during and after completion of the Invisalign process. This will provide you with a representation of what your smile should look like once you have completed treatment.

Based upon our treatment plan. customized Aligners will be constructed for each individual situation. Full treatment averages 6-15 months.
